Yu-ming and Yi-ting met in a university library's "Deep Quiet Room" and built a life together. During pregnancy, Yi-ting's emotional state begins to collapse as past traumas and hidden pressures resurface. She asks for an abortion and a divorce. When her disabled father moves in, Yu-ming struggles to hold the family together. Only after discovering a manuscript she left behind does he begin to understand the silence she carried.
