In the overlooked, ageing neighborhoods of Scarborough, Ontario, four Hong Kong immigrants from the 1990s quietly unravel in middle age. Dan, once a pop singer, struggles between pride and fatherhood; Eva cares alone for her mother yet still longs for love; Fan chases the dream of becoming a real estate agent to give her daughter a better life; Tony, a widowed factory foreman, faces a precarious future.
