            What Time Is It There? (2001)
Award-winning local film The Violinist also opens this weekend at Filmhouse (alongside the big 2 cinema chains) after a long road in production. If you're hoping to support a new local film, the first week of screenings is the most important, so vote with a ticket and your time!
Speaking of "time", Asian Film Archive's programme Past Time opens this weekend, not one to miss for those interested or curious about slow cinema. There are a few very (and I mean very) long films in this programme, for those willing to test their mettle in the cinema, or maybe think of it as a respite from our neverending carousel of brainrot content. 
For more atypical programming, Film Nerve's YAM @ SAM programme continues with a Super 8 workshop (stand a chance to win a camera!), and a programme of experimental films shot on 8mm film from the Philippines. 
Filmhouse is also spotlighting local distributor Anticipate Pictures which turns ten this month by screening a few films from their back catalog from recent years. If you've enjoyed recent hits like Aftersun and Anatomy of a Fall, you've got AP to thank for the privilege to watch them in Singapore!
