Ratchapoom Boonbunchachoke | Thailand, Singapore, France | 2025 | 130 min | R21 (Sexual Scenes and Some Homosexual Content) In this genre-bending satire on love, politics and memory, a ghost returns to haunt a vacuum cleaner and prove her love for her living husband. Having died tragically from dust pollution, Nat returns to her husband by possessing a vacuum cleaner manufactured in his family-run factory. Though they rekindle their bond, her husband’s family stands in the way of their unusual relationship. Meanwhile, other spiritual disturbances are afoot at the factory where a worker has died from unsafe working conditions. Eager to placate the family and prove herself “useful”, Nat offers to exorcise the other displaced spirits, even if that means doing away with a few suffering souls… Strangely vulnerable yet fiercely political, the film casts light on the classism and oppression that haunts Thailand’s history, questioning the sacrifices made in the name of political expediency.
