Synopsis:
After a tense relationship with his wife, Jia Xingjia escapes to a seaside town seeking inspiration and befriends a young boy, Wu Xiaokang. Late-night conversations about faith and life give Jia Xingjia a fresh perspective on his writing. Wu Xiaokang’s sudden death shakes him deeply. During a late-night walk along the river, he glimpses a figure resembling Wu Xiaokang. This vision touches his heart and reignites his drive to write.

Life of Luosang (洛桑的家事) (2022)
In Tibetan Luosang, three-year-old Yangjin was hit by Drolma, who was driving a tractor under the influence of alcohol, leaving her with a high-level paraplegia. The incident sparked conflicts among three families, which were eventually resolved through reconciliation, demonstrating how faith and the law can complement each other.
