Join Si Xuan and Natalie Soh, in conversation with Racy Lim as they walk through the various symbolisms, mythicalities and glitches of the film within ‘solid_state’. Sharing more about Si Xuan’s experience in Shen Zhen(China) and its various similarities to Sim Lim (Singapore), they reflect on the machinic eye, material collisions and the paralleled labours within the production of the film and what lies in front of it.

Sometimes we think about industries as these massive efforts that seem revolutionary, but fail to realise that there are so many hands that have to take part in the process of assembling, fabrication, shipping. With the accessibility that ecommerce has afforded us, these systems that we engage also become extremely opaque. Where do these materials, raw minerals, come from?
