Days of Heaven (1978)

Set against the sweeping wheat fields of the 1916 Texas Panhandle, Terrence Malick’s romantic masterpiece follows Bill (Richard Gere) and Abby (Brooke Adams), lovers posing as brother and sister while fleeing a turbulent past in Chicago.
